Maculele group in London started at the end of 2003 leaded by the teachers Sangue b and Cascao. By the next year the Maculele group had its first batizado in London, counting with the presence of the Master of the group, Mestre Fran and numerous friends. During this event a lot of of energy was released and many friends and contacts were made in London. Professor Sangue B went back to Brazil leaving a strong group in hands of professor Cascao. Professor Cascao continued working for the group on his own for more than three years until towards the end of 2007, when Mestrando Marcinho arrived from Brazil and started teaching in London bridge and in Thomas More Square, Tower Bridge. Mestrando Marcinho brought many novelties and technical movements from Brazil making the group even stronger. After more than one year of hard work for the Maculele group in London, Mestrando Marcinho decided to go back to Brazil, leaving his work and students in hands of Graduado Negru and estagiario Je, who worked together for half year. After that it's Graduado Negru who now has all the responsibility of transferring all the energy and discipline that he learnt through out all the years of hard training with Mestre Fran back in Brazil, and carrying with him all the respect for name of the Maculele group. The main objective ang goal of the Maculele group in London is to continue teaching and passing throughout different generations the dedication and respect towards this Brazilian art called Capoeira, which forms a great part of their culture, guiding with all their respect and their professionalism to all those that are willing to learn it and in this way continuing a work that begun in Brazil more than thirty years ago.
